After walking along a rough country track, she comes to a house where the front door is standing open. She walks in, calling out to alert anyone there to her presence. When she gets no answer, she goes inside and starts looking around. Suddenly, she is grabbed from behind and a hand is clamped over her mouth. The unseen assailant drags her away, struggling against his grip. When we rejoin Violet, she is lying on the floor in a hogtie, and the man who grabbed her is circling around her, demanding to know what she is doing in his home. She claims she was just looking for help, but the man declares he is an author working on a manuscript he expects to be successful, and he believes she is there to steal it. He tells her that it would not be the first time this has happened and is convinced of her guilt, and Violet's protestations of innocence fall on deaf ears. He is not even prepared to extend to her the shadow of a doubt. He gags her and leaves her to struggle while he decides what to do with her.

In his absence, Violet tries to free her hands but is unsuccessful. She decides that her next best hope is to leave the house, so she works her way along the floor, heading towards the door via which she entered. As she approaches it, she is confronted by several steps, and she is still wondering how she can descend these when the man returns. Because of her attempt to escape, he decides that he will have to secure her more thoroughly.

Soon, Violet is tied to a chair, now dressed in only her bra and panties. The man does not want to listen to her repeatedly insisting that she is innocent, so he stuffs a cloth in her mouth and passes vet wrap around her head six or seven times, covering her mouth and sealing in the cloth. Now the girl cannot speak at all. After she is left alone again, she struggles desperately to free herself, but the ropes are too well tied and will not yield. She is trapped, tied up, gagged, and almost naked. Things do not look promising for poor Violet...
