Wonder Woman answers a call for help, not realizing that she's being led into a trap. As she enters the home she sees a nerdy girl in a pink dress laying on the floor, obviously not responsive. Myron Finklestein (the Collector) tries to use a green rag soaked in something sinister to take out Wonder Woman, but she's on to him and after a very brief battle swiftly takes the rag from him and tosses it away. knowing that he can't take her own by himself, Myron flees, but it's all a ruse as WW has her back turned long enough for Cassandra (the nerdy girl laying on the floor) to strike with the same green rag that was just tossed aside!

Fighting it for as long as she can, Wonder Woman puts up a titanic struggle but finally succumbs and collapses to the ground. After a long series of panning shots across the defeated Wonder Woman, Cassandra puts WW's head in her lap and snatches the magic tiara from Diana's head, to keep ehr from communicating telepathically with the Justice league of with anybody else. Taking of lasso of truth off of Diana's belt and wrapping the lasso around WW's arm, she interrogates Wonder Woman as to the sources of power she possesses. Wonder Woman (unable to resist) is to admit that without her magic belt, she's just a regular woman. Not long afterwards, Diana falls deeply resting and her golden source of power around her slender waistline is seized by

Wonder Woman awakens a long time later to find that her super-strength is now gone. Dazed and confused, she is no match in her weakened condition for Cassandra, who binds her wrists together with her own magic lasso and then departs. Wonder Woman cannot break her own indestructible lariat (especially without her super-strength) and without her magical tiara on her head she cannot telepathically command her lasso to loosen. Captured, she is subjected to a series of unprovoked neck-chopping attacks from both Cassandra and the entry of a new Chinese action heroine, Wu Xian, who take turns neck-chopping Wonder Woman and leaving her stunned and defeated on the ground, occasionally stealing things like her magic bracelets or her boots.
