Maybe. If she struggled hard. But if she did and the ropes didn't loosen, she could slide off of the back of the couch. If that happened, her wrists would be pulled up even harder, pulling even harder on her shoulders. With no one to rescue her, no one to release her. At least not for several hours. Which meant several hours of unbearable pain. That's not what she wanted. Maybe it was better to lay still .. and wait.
