Although JJ initially pretended to know nothing, the pressure broke her. She isn't a bad woman; she was simply tempted by someone else. This resulted in her arrest and prosecution. Now she's in her city's prison, wearing the typical orange jumpsuit. Time has passed, and JJ's legal situation hasn't improved. Her daily routine consists of body searches and wearing handcuffs on her wrists and ankles all day long. She also spends a lot of time bored in her cell. She only has sporadic time to go outside and walk around the facility, but never to the yard, as her legal status doesn't allow her to go outside because another inmate could attack her. Although she's a vulnerable woman, she's still a criminal and will have to stay there and get used to her new way of life.
