When Supergirl answers a mysterious summons from the military science division, she walks straight into a trap set by the cunning and ambitious Officer Sonya. Armed with a powerful new gas that temporarily neutralizes Kryptonian abilities, Sonya disables the unsuspecting heroine and delivers a relentless, one-sided beatdown. Stripped of her powers and strength, Supergirl is left unconscious at Sonya’s feet. In the second half, the victorious officer cradles the defeated icon in her arms, gloating over her brilliance, strength, and her beautiful new “test subject.” With a smug smile, Sonya carries her prize away, announcing that Supergirl’s next stop… is the lab.
