Sandbags are attached to the bottom of the rig so it tips lower at the head end, and then the entire rig is hauled up in the air by an overhead hoist. The highlight of the scene is a transparent breather hood which Rank pulls over the gimp's head. Since there is only one small breathing hole in the hood, the gimp needs to breathe slowly to control the collapsing of the face of the hood. Tricky business but manageable.
