克莱门汀——大家都叫她克莱姆——是一位年轻的女警，她为人严肃认真、廉洁奉公，对警服忠心耿耿，备受尊敬。

就在她下班的时候，接到了最后一个电话：有人报告说听到附近一栋别墅里传来尖叫声。尽管已经下班，克莱姆还是决定去查看一下。

她站在房子外面，突然听到一声清晰可辨的枪响。意识到情况不妙，她从前门走了进去。进屋后，她看到走廊里躺着一双腿——似乎有人倒下了。

当她上前查看时，一切都太迟了。

这是一场埋伏。

一个身材高大、体格强壮的男人从背后袭击了她，缴了她的枪，并捂住了她的嘴。克莱姆奋力反抗——她坚强而果断——但袭击者显然占了上风。他轻而易举地制服了她。

她很快被绑在沙发上，手腕和脚踝都被绳子捆住。克莱姆挣扎着抗议，努力保持镇定，警告那男人援兵马上就到——但他似乎笃定她是独自一人来的。

他用胶带封住了她的嘴。

克莱姆惊恐地看着那男人抓住他刚刚除掉的那个人的腿——然后把他拖走了。

意识到自己现在成了目击证人，克莱姆拼命想在他回来之前挣脱束缚。她跳着朝门口跑去，但门锁着。她急中生智，四处寻找可以割断绳子的东西。她设法打开一个抽屉，找到一把剪刀，割断了绑住她的手。

但为时已晚。那人回来了。克莱姆挣扎了一会儿后再次被制服，扛在肩上。

他把她带进另一个房间——一间办公室，把她放在椅子上，再次开始捆绑她。这次，他取下她嘴上的布条，审问她：她是独自来的吗？

克莱姆起初很不服气，告诉绑匪他最终会坐牢。但在压力下，她承认了真相：她刚下班正要回家，调度中心派她去查看附近一个可疑人员的报告。

那人强迫她打电话给警局，报告一切正常——报警是虚惊一场，她正要回家。

电话挂断后，克莱姆的嘴再次被堵住——这次是用好几条紧紧的灰色胶带——而且被绑得更牢，绳子缠绕在她的胸部和腰部，把她牢牢地固定在椅子上。

这人名叫詹姆斯，绰号“修理工”，是一名职业杀手，刚刚除掉了他所效力的犯罪集团的竞争对手。他走到外面打电话给雇主，接受进一步指示。

克莱姆无力挣扎，但这次她无路可逃。

詹姆斯回来后告诉她，暂时不会杀了她。他要把她转移到一个“安全”的地方。

然后他解开了绑在椅子上的绳子。故事将在下一部分继续。Clementine—known to everyone as Clem—is a young police officer, respected for being serious, incorruptible, and deeply committed to her uniform.

Just as she finishes her shift, she receives one last call: someone has reported hearing screams coming from a nearby villa. Despite being off duty, Clem decides to check it out.

Positioned outside the house, she suddenly hears what sounds unmistakably like a shot. Realizing something is very wrong, she enters through the front door. Inside, she catches sight of a pair of legs lying in the hallway—someone appears to be down.

As she steps in to investigate, it’s too late.

It’s an ambush.

A tall, strong man attacks her from behind, disarms her, and clamps a hand over her mouth. Clem fights back—she’s tough and determined—but her attacker clearly has the upper hand. He overpowers her with practiced ease.

She is quickly tied up on the couch, her wrists and ankles secured with rope. Clem struggles and protests, trying to maintain her composure, warning the man that backup is on the way—but he seems confident she came alone.

He silences her with strips of tape.

From her position, Clem watches in horror as the man grabs the legs of the man he has just eliminated—and drags it away.

Realizing she is now a witness, Clem desperately tries to free herself before he returns. She hops toward the door, but it’s locked. Thinking fast, she searches for something to cut herself free. Managing to open a drawer, she finds a pair of scissors and cuts her hands loose.

But she’s too late.

The man returns. After a brief struggle, Clem is overpowered again and thrown over his shoulder.

He carries her into another room, an office, puts her onto a chair, and begins tying her again. This time, he removes the gag and interrogates her: did she come alone?

Clem remains defiant at first, telling her captor he’ll end up in prison. But under pressure, she admits the truth: she had just finished her shift and was heading home when dispatch sent her to check a report of a suspicious individual in the area.

The man obliges her to call the station and report that everything is fine—that the call was a false alarm and she is going straight home.

Once the call ends, Clem is gagged again—this time with multiple tight strips of grey tape—and tied far more securely, ropes wrapped around her chest and waist, pinning her firmly to the chair.

The man is James, known as “The Fixer”, a professional hitman who has just eliminated a rival of the criminal he works for. He steps outside to call his employer and receive further instructions.

Clem struggles helplessly, but this time there is no escape.

When James returns, he tells her that—for now—he won’t eliminate her. Instead, he’s going to move her somewhere “safe.”

He then unties her from the chair.It continues in the second part.
