This study investigates the paradoxical efficacy of tickle therapy on a highly resistant subject (Ama Rio, 28F) who despises tickling yet sought stress relief. Using extreme immobilization (leather straitjacket, V-leg stocks with toe bondage) and escalating gag conditions, researchers Derek and Honey Kinkaid administered three tickle phases, followed by deceptive "cooldown" automatic brush application. Sensors monitored physiological responses to determine if post-session intervals revealed reduced anxiety, improved rest readiness, and endorphin release despite overt displeasure and discomfort during testing.
