阿尔巴（Alba）多年未见大学旧友帕梅拉（Pamela）。帕梅拉来到阿尔巴豪华的顶层公寓，两人在露台上晒了几天太阳。随后，帕梅拉提出要离开。她询问阿尔巴家里是否有保险箱：她随身带着前任送给她的珠宝。尽管前任无权索回这些珠宝，却一直纠缠骚扰她。阿尔巴虽感不安，但还是同意将那个包裹锁进家里的保险箱。

临走前，帕梅拉叮嘱道：那个前任可能会找上门来。阿尔巴绝不能让他进屋，并且必须矢口否认帕梅拉曾来过这里。阿尔巴答应了。帕梅拉随即离去。

一小时后，有人敲门。阿尔巴没有开门。门外的男子索要一个“叫帕梅拉的女人”本应留下的包裹。阿尔巴否认帕梅拉来过，甚至声称自己根本不认识她。那人似乎离开了。阿尔巴松了一口气，重新回到露台上。

镜头转至客厅：阿尔巴被困在自家沙发上，双臂被向后拉扯，手腕和脚踝均被捆绑，额外的束缚带将双臂紧贴身体两侧，令她几乎无法坐起。雷蒙多（Raimondo）审问她。帕梅拉留下了什么东西吗？阿尔巴再次否认认识帕梅拉。她的辩解毫无说服力。他将一只袜子深深塞进她嘴里，随后用一根横向勒紧的布条（cleave gag）将其固定——布条勒得极紧，撑开了她的嘴唇，将塞入物死死压在口中。他把她留在那里，开始搜查公寓，并顺手拿走了阿尔巴的一些贵重物品，美其名曰“补偿麻烦”。

独自一人且被堵住嘴的阿尔巴奋力挣扎，试图摆脱沙发的束缚——她扭动身体，拉扯手腕上的绳索，踢踹脚踝处的绑带。她从沙发垫上挪到地板，在地毯上更加剧烈地挣扎，身体扭动翻滚，姿态透着一种诱人的韵味。她爬向窗户，先是跪起，继而站立，费力推开窗户，希望能引起隔壁楼里的人注意，看到一个被捆绑、嘴里塞着袜子并勒着布条的女人，从而报警。雷蒙多折返回来，关上了窗户。

下一场景：阿尔巴坐在一把椅子上。她的手腕被反绑在椅背上，双肘内收，胸部和腰部被紧紧捆在椅身上，脚踝被绑在椅子的前腿上，大腿处还多缠了几圈，让她既无法站立也无法滑脱。在原有的口塞之上，又贴上了一道宽胶带封住她的嘴。捆绑处勒得严严实实，没有丝毫松动。雷蒙多（Raimondo）临走前撂下狠话：如果找不到东西，他会回来逼她开口。

阿尔巴（Alba）独自一人，惊恐万分，拼命挣扎想要摆脱束缚。但绳索勒得太紧，她根本无法逃脱。

雷蒙多折返回来，告诉她是时候招供了。他还补充说，帕梅拉（Pamela）找了个“既漂亮又能干的同伙”。阿尔巴听得一头雾水，隔着口塞发出呜咽声，坚持说自己什么都不知道。就在她的处境即将变得更加凶险之际，帕梅拉突然现身，一把扼住了雷蒙多的脖子。只听“咔嚓”一声脆响，帕梅拉将他拖走，随后又折返了回来。

阿尔巴仍惊魂未定，而帕梅拉似乎只关心那个小包裹。她没有给阿尔巴松绑，而是坦承自己撒了个小谎：她和雷蒙多曾属于同一个犯罪团伙。在几次得手后，她决定金盆洗手，并带走了那批珠宝作为“遣散费”。团伙里的其他人对此怀恨在心，一直在追捕她。她向阿尔巴道谢：多亏了阿尔巴在不知情下的协助，她除掉了一个昔日的同伙。现在她必须离开了。她重新给阿尔巴贴上封口胶带——尽管阿尔巴仍在苦苦哀求获释——随后转身走向门口。Alba has not seen her old college friend Pamela in years. Pamela arrives at Alba’s luxurious penthouse and they spend a few days sunbathing on the terrace. Then Pamela says she has to leave. She asks if Alba has a safe: she is carrying jewelry her ex gave her. He wants it back even though he has no right to it, and he has been stalking her. Alba is uneasy, but she agrees to lock the package in her home safe.

Before leaving, Pamela warns her: the ex may come looking. Alba must not let him in and must deny that Pamela was ever there. Alba promises. Pamela goes.

An hour later someone knocks. Alba does not open. Through the door the man demands a package that “a certain Pamela” was supposed to leave. Alba denies Pamela has been there and even claims she does not know her. He seems to leave. Relieved, Alba goes back out onto the terrace.

She never sees him climb over the roof. He comes up behind her and slaps a firm handgag over her mouth.

Cut to the living room: Alba is on her own sofa, arms pulled back, wrists bound, ankles tied, extra wraps pinning her arms to her side so she can barely sit up. Raimondo interrogates her. Did Pamela leave anything? Alba again denies knowing her. She is not convincing. He stuffs a sock deep into her mouth, then ties a tight cleave gag across it so the cloth splits her lips and holds the stuffing in. He leaves her like that and searches the apartment, taking some of Alba’s valuables “for the trouble.”

Alone and gagged, Alba fights the sofa ties—twisting, pulling at the wrist rope, kicking against the ankle wraps. She works herself off the cushions onto the floor and struggles harder on the carpet, rolling, sensually. She crawls to the window, gets to her knees, then her feet, and manages to push the window open, hoping someone in the next building will see a bound, sock-and-cleave-gagged woman and call the police. Raimondo walks back in and shuts it down.

Next scene: Alba is in a chair. Wrists tied behind the backrest, elbows pulled in, chest and waist wrapped to the chair, ankles lashed to the front legs, extra turns around her thighs so she cannot stand or slide. A wide strip of tape covers her mouth over the previous gag. No slack. Raimondo leaves with a threat: if he finds nothing he will come back and make her talk.

Alone and frightened, Alba fights the chair ties. They are too tight. She cannot escape.

Raimondo returns and tells her it is time to confess. He adds that Pamela chose “a pretty and capable criminal partner.” Alba does not understand and moans through the gag that she knows nothing. Just as things are about to get worse for her, Pamela suddenly appears, grabs Raimondo by the neck. There is a crack. She drags him away, then comes back.

Alba is still shaken. Pamela seems interested only in the little package. Without untying Alba, she admits she told a small lie. She and the now- Raimondo were in the same criminal gang. After a few successful jobs she decided to get out; the jewelry is the “severance” she took. The rest of the gang did not take it well and are hunting her. She thanks Alba: with her unwitting help she has eliminated one of her former partners. Now she has to go. She puts the tape gag back on Alba—who is still begging to be released—and heads for the door.
